People with familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) have too much cholesterol in their blood. The cause is a defect in a gene. Jeanine Roeters van Lennep, an internist specializing in vascular medicine at Erasmus MC, is conducting research into this and has observed significant differences between men and women.

On Thursday, September 22, Harteraad is organizing a webinar and will answer questions such as: What are the differences between men and women in terms of cholesterol and medication? Can I still take my medication if I am pregnant or want to breastfeed, for example? And what are the consequences if I just stop taking it?
