Tuesday, September 24 International FH Day

Preparations for International FH Day on September 24 are in full swing. Our main goal is to raise awareness about FH among as many people as possible: HIGH CHOLESTEROL CAN BE HEREDITARY. This is the day we want to reach out to everyone in the Netherlands. We have found a family from Brabant with 21 members who have FH willing to make an appeal in a short video to identify as many people with FH as possible. This year, the focus is primarily on the role and responsibility of primary care providers in recognizing FH, educating families, and encouraging them to get tested. We will therefore use that day to announce the THUIS IN FH campaign to general practitioners.

2. Does your hospital publish a newsletter for general practitioners? Please include an article in it about International Family Health Day and the crucial role that physician assistants and general practitioners play in spreading the message.
