Together for Health: LEEFH Will Be at the Milan Summer Festival 2024 On August 2, 3, and 4, 2024, the Netherlands’ largest Hindustani festival—the Milan Summer Festival—will take place in The Hague’s Zuiderpark. We are proud to be part of the health fair at this festival, where we will be joined by various healthcare providers.
Fazil Alidjan, an internist at Haga Hospital in Zoetermeer, explains: “Together with the Dutch Heart Foundation and the LEEFH Foundation, we are ready to screen festivalgoers for diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and obesity. We share information about healthy lifestyle choices and medical topics such as various conditions, treatments, and medications, and offer personalized advice for better health. Let’s work together on awareness and prevention, because health starts with you!”
This year, the festival is celebrating its 40th anniversary, with a special focus on the health and lifestyle of the Hindustani community. Research has shown that this group is at increased risk of cardiovascular disease.
