New director of LEEFH as of November 1, 2019

On November 1, 2019, I took over from Manon Houter as director of the LEEFH Foundation. Together with medical director Erik Stroes and the LEEFH team, Dennis will be working on behalf of all LEEFH centers and FH screening in the Netherlands. Dennis would like to introduce himself.

Dennis Boor

I live in Apeldoorn with my wife and four children. In my spare time, I enjoy running, walking in nature, reading, chi kung, and I am a soccer trainer and coach for my sons. After studying economics and working in the financial world, I have gained 11 years of experience in healthcare at the AMC and the Dimence Group. At the AMC, I held various business and dual management positions at the children's hospital and outpatient clinic. At the Dimence Group, a mental health care institution, I worked as Finance Manager until November 1, 2019.
What appeals to me is that the LEEFH Foundation is a compact organization with committed partners such as the LEEFH centers. By working together with all parties involved, I am taking on the challenge of identifying as many people with FH as possible in the Netherlands, so that they can improve their health. In my immediate environment, I have experienced how profound the consequences of cardiovascular disease are, and it is valuable for me to contribute to its prevention. Together with the LEEFH centers, we are working to raise awareness of FH in a creative way and with the resources available.
