Familial Hypercholesterolemia (FH) is a common genetic disorder with a very high risk of cardiovascular disease. Early detection can prevent many problems later in life. FH is highly treatable. In this webinar, three FH professionals present the following in an accessible manner:

The importance of early detection. By Bert Wiegman, pediatrician
Family screening, how does it work? By Danielle Bartels, LEEFH consultant
FH treatment options. By Erik Stroes, (vascular) specialist
Family members have a 50% chance of developing FH. Until 2013, there was an official government screening program for this. Since 2014, the initiative for family screening has been taken by family members themselves, in consultation with their (family) doctor. The LEEFH Foundation and 29 hospitals (LEEFH centers) provide support for family screening.

After the webinar, there will be ample opportunity to answer questions.
