The LEEFH Foundation works within a network of 42 hospitals in the Netherlands (“LEEFH centers”) to identify the 30,000 family members with Familial Hypercholesterolemia (“FH”). FH increases the risk of cardiovascular disease. Early detection and treatment can prevent cardiovascular disease and premature death. LEEFH provides information, conducts family screening (since there is a 50% chance of inheritance), and coordinates DNA testing nationwide.
Anyone with questions about FH or DNA testing (or how to request it) is welcome to contact us. We work as a small team of dedicated colleagues from our office in Amsterdam.
The purpose of this position is to support FH family members and healthcare providers in conducting family history assessments.
