Tergooi MC

Starting in September 2023, Tergooi MC will join LEEFH, the National Expertise Center for Genetic Research into Cardiovascular Diseases, as a LEEFH Center. This means that Tergooi MC will play a greater role in coordinating family research among patients with familial hypercholesterolemia in the region.

Since 2018, Tergooi MC has had an outpatient clinic for vascular medicine. Vascular medicine focuses on the health of the heart and blood vessels. Preferably before cardiovascular disease has occurred, but if necessary, also after cardiovascular disease has occurred. The vascular medicine team consists of two vascular physicians and one nursing specialist. They collaborate with medical and nursing specialists/physician assistants from the fields of cardiology, neurology, and vascular surgery. This makes the hospital a "Center of Excellence" in the field of vascular care in the region.
