“Has the minister already made a decision regarding the screening for FH?” This has been a frequently asked question lately. We at LEEFH hope and expect that the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport will conduct a study to determine whether improvements can be made to the screening of FH patients. Manifesto presented to Member of Parliament Dijkstra

Every year, one in three people who are currently not being screened—due to the suspension of the population-based screening program—suffers a heart attack. That amounts to 666 people. Population screening FH

As of January 1, 2014, FH screening will no longer be carried out through population screening. Funding for this population screening has been discontinued. The LEEFH Foundation coordinates the screening and care of families with FH. The LEEFH Foundation advocates for FH population screening. It is the prime example of life-saving and affordable prevention.
